Wild Intrigue’s Dawn Chorus Disco is an opportunity to become immersed in the heart of the live Ouseburn orchestra\, and to appreciate each of the individual songsters taking part. \n\n\n\nUsing a single parabolic dish\, your Wild Intrigue Guide will take you on an acoustic safari like no other\, bringing the incredible intricacies of each birdsong straight to your ears through wireless headphones as you slowly water through the valley at sunrise. In isolation from the rest of the Dawn Chorus\, every one of the 64 notes in a Wren’s song will pop\, the repertoire of the Song Thrush will become even brighter\, and the aria of the Blackcap will be distinguished from its scratchy beginnings. \n\n\n\nThe real magic of this wildlife experience is that it takes place in the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne\, in the wild corridors of the post-industrial culture-hotspot of Ouseburn Valley. With a backdrop of heritage buildings\, independent businesses and fresh graffiti\, this botanical safari will take a slow place to enjoy the sights (and scents!) of Ouseburn’s delicate resident plantlife. \n\n\n\nWe’ve teamed up with Heaton’s own Urban Botanist extraordinaire\, James Common\, Senior Naturalist at the Natural History Society of Northumbria\, to share his expertise and enthusiasm for all things green and floral. James’s infectious love for and understanding of botany\, and other wildlife\, is sure to have you searching for bursts of colour in all your urban adventures.  \n\n\n\nEverything from the purple clouds of Ivy-leaved Toadflax pushing through walls\, to Elderflowers pulsing their perfume along paths\, to much-misunderstood Dandelions (of which there are many species) bursting through concrete to feed our pollinators. \n\n\n\nMost suitable for adults\, but suitable for ages 12 and above.
