With a backdrop of heritage buildings\, independent businesses and fresh graffiti\, this botanical safari will take a slow place to enjoy the sights (and scents!) of Ouseburn’s delicate resident plantlife. \n\n\n\nWe’ve teamed up with Heaton’s own Urban Botanist extraordinaire\, James Common\, Senior Naturalist at the Natural History Society of Northumbria\, to share his expertise and enthusiasm for all things green and floral. James’s infectious love for and understanding of botany\, and other wildlife\, is sure to have you searching for bursts of colour in all your urban adventures.  \n\n\n\nEverything from the purple clouds of Ivy-leaved Toadflax pushing through walls\, to Elderflowers pulsing their perfume along paths\, to much-misunderstood Dandelions (of which there are many species) bursting through concrete to feed our pollinators. \n\n\n\nMost suitable for adults\, but suitable for ages 12 and above. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. \n\n\n\nNo experience or understanding of plants or flowers is needed\, just an intrigue for urban wild things…
