Discover weird & wonderful life beneath the surface!
Join Wild Intrigue to spy on life beneath the surface of Walltown Quarry Country Park’s ponds in Northumberland National Park.
On this aquatic safari you will explore Walltown’s ponds, and the fascinating creatures that hide below and emerge above the surface.
But leave those swimsuits at home! You will use nets and trays to carefully discover the small, fascinating creatures that swim, hunt and hide beneath. From top predators like dragonfly and damselfly nymphs, to amphibians and even the LOUDEST tiny animal on earth! Can you guess what it is..?
Your Wild Intrigue guide will introduce you the hidden creatures and features of these underwater worlds in this exciting family-friendly experience.
Local flapjacks provided. All ages welcome, but most suitable for ages 5 and above (this event is suitable for adult groups too!). All under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
