The Steps to St Ann’s are a hidden wonder in the Wild Ouseburn project area, a scrubby paradise supporting an abundance of birds, plants, mammals and more within our urban landscape.
It offers a particular green oasis to Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackcap, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Goldfinch, Blackbird, Robin, Chiffchaff, Wren, Dunnock, Song Thrush, Sparrowhawk, and even Jays!
It’s a beautiful place to sit and watch wildlife, join us and our friends at Wild Roots Community Garden for a morning discovering Birds on The Steps. We’ll bring the coffee, pastries and binoculars!
We’ll record the wildlife that we see as part of the Wild Ouseburn project, to explore, document and celebrate the wildlife of the area, to help protect and rewild for the future.
No need to book. Meet at the top of The Steps, you can access them via Lime Street, or St Ann’s Close. What3Words: ///holly.bank.woof
