Tucked away in the Wild Ouseburn project area lies a scrubby paradise teeming with wildlife. This lush green space offers a vibrant refuge for a variety of birds, plants, and mammals in the urban landscape.
This green oasis provides a particularly inviting habitat for an incredible diversity of birds, including Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackcap, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Goldfinch, Blackbird, Robin, Chiffchaff, Wren, Dunnock, Song Thrush, Sparrowhawk, and even Jays – a spectacular, colourful member of the Crow family,
It’s a beautiful place to sit and watch wildlife, making it an ideal spot to start the day with a morning of birdwatching.
Join us at the top of The Steps to Nowhere to watch and discover more about Ouseburn’s wildlife, we’ll bring coffee, pastries and binoculars, you just bring yourself!
We’ll record the wildlife that we see as part of the Wild Ouseburn project, to explore, document and celebrate the wildlife of the area, to help protect and rewild for the future.
