Litter Critters: Help clean up St Lawrence Park + Byker Link
February 15 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Come and show your love for Wild Ouseburn’s residents – from flowers to humans, birds to hedgehogs – on a group litter pick at St Lawrence Park and Byker Link.
This litter pick has been arranged to remove litter from vegetation before the peak bird nesting season. On the day, you’ll be introduced to litter picking with wildlife in mind – such as hibernating hedgehogs – along with a chance to find out more about the wildlife of the area with Heather from Wild Ouseburn.
Wrap up warm and wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions, be sure to wear good footwear too! You might like to bring a flask of hot tea or coffee and some snacks.
Other than that, you don’t need to bring anything with you – just your best Litter Critter energy to spruce up these valuable wild spaces!
Gloves will be provided, along with litter pickers with thanks to the Ouseburn Trust. Newcastle City Council will be collecting the filled bags afterwards.
