In celebration of Tyne Kittiwake Week, we’re hosting two sessions to make your very own wooden hanging Tyne Kittiwake to take home!
This activity is suitable for adults as well as kids (most suited to ages 7+), so come along to make your own Geordie Kittiwake, and discover a few intriguing insights about our urban seafarers.
We supply everything you need to make a beautiful wooden, flying Tyne Kittiwake, a design shared with us by fellow Kittiwake friend, Tormod, from Biotope Architecture & Nature in Norway.
This is a free activity and open to all, however spaces are limited so please book!
TICKETS Please book one ticket per Kittiwake you intend to make. For example if you are two parents with one child, and wish to make one Kittiwake to take home, just book one ticket. If two people wish to make a Kittiwake each, book two tickets etc.
VENUE The activity will be hosted at BottleWorks, Ouseburn (near Northern Rye bakery).
Unable to make Saturday? We’re also hosting this activity on Sunday 2nd July at 2pm!
Make a Kittiwake is part of Wild Intrigue’s programme of events for Tyne Kittiwake Week, a celebration of our urban seafarers. Hosted in Newcastle-upon-Tyne | 29th June – 4th July 2023.
